What a Game!

What a Game!

The Super Bowl this year was fun to watch and exciting! What a game!  Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles on winning their first Super Bowl! I am sure the city of Philadelphia is buzzing today with excitement and smiles everywhere!

Tom Brady had an outstanding game and did his best to guide the Patriot’s to another Super Bowl win! But Eagles QB Nick Foles made play after play and had an answer for everything the Patriots threw at him! I am pleased to see Foles is thinking about being a Pastor after he retires from playing in the NFL.

According to this sports page,

“1,151 Yards of total offense between the two teams: 538 for Philadelphia, 613 for New England. Raw yardage isn’t as instructive as averages per play (7.6 for the Eagles and 8.5 for the Patriots), but the total figure is the best illustration of the kind of track meet this Super Bowl was. It was the highest total yardage in a Super Bowl ever by a margin of more than 200 yards. This looked like a Big 12 game at times.”

As a Lions fan, I am looking forward to next season! New head coach Matt Patricia will hopefully take the Lions to a Super Bowl victory in the near future. Sadly, it is nearly six months till football is back on the air. Thankfully, the last game of 2017 is one which will always leave me with these words in my mind, “What a game!”
